Social Media Account Executive, Contract
Location:
Hybrid work model (2 days a week in-office) based out of our King St. W and Niagara office in Toronto, featuring light-filled workspaces and an in-house test kitchen.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Social Media Account Executive to join our team and oversee the day-to-day management of one of our non-food clients.
Reporting to the Account Manager, the Social Media Account Executive will act as the key liaison between our client and internal teams. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a genuine passion for all things social. You’ll also manage a Digital and Social Media Coordinator, providing leadership and support to ensure smooth execution of daily content, community management, and reporting. A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for building client relationships are essential to keeping social projects on track. This position requires regular travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area; therefore, a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Communications
Support the management and execution of social media, influencer, and PR campaigns.
Work with internal and external creative teams to ensure the successful creation of campaign assets that meet client expectations.
Participate in content shoots and adapt quickly, thinking on your feet to capture creative content that exceeds client expectations.
Develop and execute creative briefs based on client needs and objectives, with a focus on social-first campaigns and content.
Coordinate with internal departments to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
Prepare client-facing materials, including presentations, reports, and campaign analyses.
Track and manage projects, proactively flagging any changes to stakeholders.
Maintain organized and accessible project files and competitive intelligence.
Project Execution
Assist in developing comprehensive project budgets and timing plans
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
Quality check all deliverables for accuracy and brand consistency
Prepare weekly work-in-progress reports
Process project-related financial documents accurately and promptly
Support event planning and logistics management
Strategic Support
Lead client proposals and pitch decks
Lead client strategies and new ideas
Gather and analyze market research, trends, and competitive intelligence
Support the development of campaign strategies, influencer briefs, and content calendars.
Stay informed about industry trends, particularly those related to social media and influencer campaigns.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the account and creative teams to ensure project success
Lead reporting processes and ensure deadlines are met
Provide day-to-day guidance to the Social Media Coordinator, offering direction and support on content, community management, and reporting.
Provide social media insights and platform knowledge during brainstorms and team meetings to help shape strategy and content.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills by providing solutions-oriented recommendations.
Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
2-3 years of agency experience is required
Proven knowledge of social media, digital marketing, and content creation strategies.
Familiarity with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and others used for scheduling, publishing, community management, and reporting.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Agency management and communication apps (ie, FunctionPoint, Slack)
Strong written and presentation skills
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. 3-4 Days per month will be required to be on the road.
